THIS IS SO COCONUTS! 🥥 How to Make Coconut Oil at Home by @sweetycrafting This is the best coconut oil, in my opinion. 1. The more coconuts, the more oil you’ll get. I used 2 medium coconuts (that’s all I had at home) and ended up with about 100-120 ml of oil. Blend the coconut flesh with a small amount of water for 3-4 minutes. The less water you use, the less time it will take to evaporate later. 2. Separate the coconut solids from the liquid. Strain the milk through cheesecloth or a nut milk bag. 3. Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed saucepan and heat it over low heat. Important: Simmer the coconut milk at a low and consistent temperature. Using higher temperatures can spoil the oil. 4. The water from the milk will gradually evaporate. The coconut will begin to break down in texture and solidify, and the color will darken slightly, turning brown. You’ll start to see the oil separating from the solids. This process takes about 1 to 2 hours. Don’t burn it. If the oil starts bubbling vigorously, it’s already starting to burn. 5. Let the oil cool slightly and carefully pour it into a glass jar. You can also squeeze out any remaining oil from the solids. By the way, they are delicious and can be used in cooking. Store the coconut oil in the refrigerator. #coconut #coconutoil #coconutbutter #howto #tips #monday #magic
